17th FrOSCon: Free and Open-Source Con in Sankt Augustin - We were part of it!
The Free and Open-Source Conference, which is prepared every year by the Department of Computer Science at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in cooperation with FrOSCon association, is one of the largest open-source conferences in Germany. Around 40 companies are represented at the Con every year - and we’re one of them.
Team Pi-lar as an exhibitor of the FrOSCon 2022
After two years hosting the Con Online, this years' event took place again present at the Bonn-Rhein-Sieg University of Applied Sciences in Sankt Augustin, Germany. Our team participated this year not only as an exhibitor, but also actively took part in the conference by presenting a workshop. The focus of the exhibition and the workshop has been our Neuropil Cyber Security Mesh, which we’ve presented for the first time using a self-developed use case - Robot as a Service. The Neuropil Cyber Security Mesh pursues, among other things, the goal of establishing a stable and secure communication between machine and user, as well as to manage/coordinate the authorizations of these connections easily and reliably. This gave visitors of our booth the chance to step into the role of a user and control the robot via confirmed authorization requests.
Overall, this year's booth was a complete success. Many interesting conversations were held and many topics regarding our product were exchanged.
Neuropil compact in one workshop
The various functions and processes of the Neuropil Cyber Security Mesh were presented in a 45-minute workshop by our Business Development Manager Alexander Rämisch on the very first exhibition day of this year's FrOSCon. Visitors and participants of this year's Open-Source Con got a very informative insight into our product and had the opportunity to actively ask our expert questions to expand their own knowledge regarding our Neuropil Cyber Security Mesh. Many interesting questions were asked and some of the workshop participants visited our booth to personally convince themselves of our development and take along further information.
